The name "BlueWood" originated from Mr. Mark’s vivid childhood memories. As a child, he often climbed the large tree in his backyard and gazed up at the blue sky from its branches. When he started his woodworking business, the name "BlueWood" came to him in a flash.
The origin of BlueWood is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and love for kids.
Mr. Mark was a skilled carpenter who ran a woodworking workshop, creating a variety of wooden toys.
In 2019, tragedy struck when a devastating fire consumed BlueWood, reducing years of hard work to ashes and leaving Mark heartbroken and despondent. The destruction of his beloved workshop was a crushing blow, and for a time, he found it difficult to muster the strength to start a new.
Luckily, the birth of his grandson brought a new spark into Mark’s life. This fresh wave of joy and hope reignited his passion for woodworking. He began crafting toys for his grandson, pouring love and dedication into each piece. These handmade toys quickly garnered admiration from family and friends, leading to numerous requests for custom pieces.
The overwhelming support and enthusiasm from his loved ones inspired Mark to rebuild his workshop and continue his craft.
The younger Mark couple were staunch advocates of Montessori education. They believed that every touch, every climb, is a learning and development opportunity for a child.
Watching their son delight in playing on the climbing frame crafted by Mark, and witnessing the excitement and appreciation from neighbors and friends, they were inspired to share this philosophy with more families. Thus, the BlueWood online store was born, with their first product, a wooden climbing frame, officially launching.
This marked the birth of the BlueWood you see today.
